Frugal Fashionista Friday! One Bag Two Looks!

Two weekends ago Jakob and I went all out, we are usually home bodies but when I heard the turntable rockers were playing I decided to mission! During the day we went to a charity event at Sage restaurant. I randomly ran into my friend Steve from New York (crazy I know!) it was his birthday and he invited us to meet him for dinner at Grille Royale.

This is what I wore!
Daytime: Black vintage dress was from my bestie Paula I had cut it for her but as usual, I cut it to short (I have several mishaps that should be in my shop but had to keep!) she's 5'11 or so oops! The bag I found at Humana for 6euros my earrings are from forever 21.

Eco Tip of the Week!

Watermelon Cocktail Yum!

Flowers from my Sweetheart :)

Family Picnic
Since moving to Berlin I have accumulated a lot of glass jars and instead of recycling them I have been putting them to good use. To me the mason jar is a bit overrated and so I have been using my jars for drinks, flowers,  candle holders on my deck, picnics and to store my spices and grains in. So the next time you want to throw your old pickle bottle in the recycling bin picture it as a vase for flowers instead it adds a vintage charm to your home!

Making the transition to eco fashion is not an easy feat. There are only a handful of stores that offer great eco fashion meanwhile there is a wide range of talented eco friendly designers out there that create beautiful clothes. The best way to make this transition to a sustainable closet is with baby steps. I wanted to start with  the main staple every woman needs in here wardrobe,  the perfect Little Black Dress! I have carefully curated some sleek and playful looks from some of my favorite designers. Enjoy!

YUM! :)
I usually post this on the weekend but alas I will be away again this weekend! I wanted to share bit's and pieces of what Michaela and I have done since we got back to Berlin!
The best way to describe Berlin is a bit grimy and a spray paint city there is not a surface that isn't covered! Beautiful doors old buildings it's covered, with the exception of course of the parliament building. Michaela and I went to the Badeschiff (that a swimming pool on the river) and on our way home we unexpectedly went on a spray paint tour.

Other goodies that happened were, I saw my first electric car, got a new desk,  sold some stuff and finally enjoyed some yummy caramel fleur de sel ice cream which was a surprise from Michaela!

Eco Wedding Wednesday.... Crafting a Green Wedding!

Minature Rhino
A few months back I found this beautiful Malibu wedding on Style Me Pretty, the absolute must go to for all of your wedding planning needs! I fell completely in love with the romantic country feel of the wedding and  all the crafting and vintage goodness that went into it. When I finally make that walk down the aisle I know that I will save some tree's and start crafting a green wedding! Simple embroidered table numbers and vintage doilies are an affordable way to add the perfect charm!

Upcycle Tuesday....Contain Yourself!

Once again I was searching the blogsphere for inspiring eco-friendly websites. I somehow came across Alternative Apparel and stumbled onto their blog, through their blog I found the uber cool Dekalb Market in Brooklyn. This market is made up of a small community of artists chefs and farmers who sell their wares from the salvaged shipping containers that have been upcycled into cute little shops!

This is so on my to visit list when I move back to New York!
